1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Filu app ("Filu", "the app", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Filu.
2. What Filu Is
Filu is a personal-finance app for iOS. It reads bank SMS messages on your device (via an Apple Shortcut you install) and, optionally, bank and subscription emails from a connected inbox, to automatically organize your transactions, subscriptions, goals, and spending in one place.
Filu is for informational purposes only. It is not financial, tax, investment, or legal advice, and nothing in the app should be treated as a recommendation. Always use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
3. The Service
Filu is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and the service may be interrupted, limited, or discontinued at any time. Access to Filu's features requires an active subscription (see Section 14).
4. Your Account and Responsibilities
To use Filu you need an account. You agree to:
- Keep your sign-in credentials and device secure, and not share them with anyone else
- Provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account
- Take responsibility for all activity that happens under your account
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Filu. In particular, you will not:
- Attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent Filu's security, or access other users' data
- Use automated tools to scrape, abuse, or overload the service
- Use Filu for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes anyone else's rights
6. Third-Party Services
Filu works alongside services we don't control, including Apple, Google (Gmail), Microsoft (Outlook), and your bank. Each of these is governed by its own terms and privacy practices, and Filu isn't responsible for how they operate.
Filu's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
7. Privacy
How Filu collects, uses, and protects your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
Filu, its design, logo, and all associated content and code belong to BugSquads. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app except as permitted by applicable law.
9. Disclaimers
Filu is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Filu parses bank messages and emails automatically, and parsing can occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate — a missed message, a misread amount, or a miscategorized transaction. Always verify important figures directly with your bank.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BugSquads and Filu will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, income, or profits, arising from your use of the app. Filu's total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to use Filu in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Filu evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Filu after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

14. Subscriptions & Billing
Filu Premium is an auto-renewable subscription, and an active subscription is required to use the app's features. New users may be offered a free trial; after any trial, the subscription renews automatically at the price shown in the app (for example, EGP 29.99 per month — prices may vary by region).
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
15. Apple App Store — End User License Agreement
If you obtained Filu from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply. In the event of any conflict with the terms above, the terms in this section govern your use of Filu obtained from the App Store:
- Acknowledgement: These Terms are between you and BugSquads only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Filu or its content.
- Scope of Licence: Your licence to use Filu is a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that Filu may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and Support: BugSquads is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for Filu. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to Filu.
- Warranty: BugSquads is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If Filu fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) paid for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Filu.
- Product Claims: BugSquads, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Filu or your use of it, including but not limited to product liability claims, any claim that Filu fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
- Intellectual Property Rights: In the event of any third-party claim that Filu or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, BugSquads, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- Legal Compliance: You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer Contact: Any questions, complaints, or claims regarding Filu should be directed to BugSquads at contact@bugsquads.com.
- Third-Party Terms: You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using Filu.
- Third-Party Beneficiary: Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
