Delete your account: Filu

Filu is a personal-finance app for iPhone and Android, made by BugSquads. You can delete your Filu account and its data at any time, from the app or by email. Both ways delete the same things.

Delete it in the app

Open Filu and go to Settings.
Tap Account.
Tap Delete my data. If you backed up with Apple or Google, the button is called Delete account.
Confirm. You are signed out and the app starts fresh.

Delete it by email

If you can't use the app, email contact@bugsquads.com with the subject Delete my Filu account. Send it from, or mention, the Apple or Google email you backed up with, so we can find your account. We confirm by email once it's done.

If you never backed up, your account isn't linked to your name or email, so we can't find it from an email. Install Filu again on the same phone: it normally reopens the same account, and you can then delete it in the app as above.

What is deleted

Your account and everything in it: transactions and the bank message text saved with them, cards, goals, installments, subscriptions, spending limits, categories and notes, your Apple or Google backup link, notification tokens, connected inboxes and signed-in browsers.

When it is deleted

Your account is closed straight away: you are signed out on every phone and browser, and connected inboxes are disconnected. Everything is then permanently erased from our systems 30 days later. If you backed up with Apple or Google and sign back in within those 30 days, your account is restored.

What we keep

Bank messages Filu could not read, with no link to you, so we can add support for those banks.
Subscription records from the App Store or Google Play, such as dates and price, with no link to you, for our accounts.

Delete some of your data

You can delete parts of your data and keep your account. In Filu, open a transaction and delete it, delete a card, with or without its transactions, or delete a goal, subscription or installment plan. Deleted items are removed from our servers. To have other data deleted, email contact@bugsquads.com and tell us what to remove.

Filu Premium subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel Filu Premium. Cancel it in the App Store (Settings, your name, Subscriptions) or in Google Play (Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions).
