Filu uses a single Apple Shortcut that runs every time your bank texts you. The Shortcut hands the message to Filu locally — your inbox stays untouched. From that moment on, every transaction shows up on your dashboard automatically.

The dashboard

Every SMS becomes a row. You add nothing.

Filu groups transactions by the card they hit, splits foreign-currency cards into their own line, and renders a clean monthly hero with the number you actually want — how much you've spent. Step a month back, drill into a card, or sign in on a new device — your data is already there.

Every transaction tile expands inline: full date and time, source (Bank SMS / Manual), bank, card, balance after, your notes, and the raw SMS body in a mono frame. ATM withdrawals get a copper “ATM” pill with a quick text input — tag where the cash actually went and watch the row become “ATM → Coffee”.

Which banks does Filu support?

CIB, NBE, QNB Al Ahli, Banque Misr, AAIB, HSBC Egypt, Al Baraka, ADCB, Faisal Islamic, Mashreq, ENBD Egypt, Emirates NBD UAE — and 3 more, plus a generic parser that handles many smaller issuers.

Does Filu read my actual SMS inbox?

No. iOS doesn't allow that. You set up a Shortcuts automation that triggers when a new bank SMS arrives — your phone hands one message at a time to Filu, locally.

Does it work for cash spending?

Yes. Add a transaction manually with a “+” button on the dashboard, or tag the destination of any ATM withdrawal so Filu attributes the cash correctly.

Can I delete my data?

Yes — Settings → Sign out wipes the local session, and you can request full account deletion from the Privacy screen at any time.

How much does it cost?

Filu is free during the beta. We'll be transparent before charging anything, and your data layer will always be accessible.
